Meet My Niece Anna.
On September 17, 2010, she was with Non-Hodgkin's T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Anna's mom Kristen, my younger sister, also works for Calico Country. Since Anna's diagnosis, Anna has been an inspiration to us. Calico customers and friends have made well over 550 quilts and 300 pillowcases in her honor for the children of Cardinal Glennon and special children in Southern Illinois. We have donated the materials and customers have lovingly donated their time.
A special thank you to Tacony Corporation of Fenton, MO for their continued support of Anna's Quilts and their efforts to make Anna's Quilts a part of the Paducah Quilt Show each year.
The quilts are given to newly diagnosed patients, and to any child who just needs the love and comfort a special quilt can give.
Recently, Anna asked if we could add art supplies to Anna's Quilts. So Anna's Quilts & Art Supplies is born and she is busy filling bags for kids at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in
St. Louis, MO. So far 80 filled art bags have been distributed.
Please continue to remember her and all the children still fighting this disease. Its our goal to bring them comfort and joy in a very scary time.
Thank you, Chuck
